On 22 December 2015, at the Quarterly Meeting of Town Mayors organised by the USAID Local Government Support Project (LGSP) in partnership with CALM, the Institute for Urban Development presented the results of the Municipal Performance Index (MPI) assessment.
The assessment aimed to evaluate the situation in partner towns before and after the LGSP assistance, in order to measure changes in local government performance and citizen satisfaction in four areas: (i) capacity to organise, operate and deliver administrative services; (ii) financial management, public property management and management of externally funded projects; (iii) legality and transparency of local government activity; (iv) public service management.
The results, together with information on the methodology, tools, approach and stages of the assessment, are presented in the infographic below.
